This late Victorian beauty had seen better days when we arrived on the scene to bring it back to life. The brick front had been entirely painted over; we stripped away years of paint to reveal the home’s original beautiful polychromatic brickwork. Inside, we followed the clients’ request for a complete restoration of the home’s original architectural details. This required extensive millwork, including the railing system, which we recreated based on a single surviving newel post and five balustrades. New mechanicals throughout brought the house into the 21st century, while at the same time preserving the structure’s original 19th century charm.
